Needs

 “What does UCOM really need right now?” Checking the list below on a regular basis is the best way to answer that burning question. Needs are divided into categories by program.

Last winter we got a call and our social work intern made a visit to a woman who uses a wheelchair. Because of the snow it was hard for her to leave the house anyway, but when the she needed a trip to the doctor, her neighbor called us because she had no coat. We needed a XXXL size, and we had none that worked for her. We were all set to wrap her in a couple of beautiful quilts when providentially one of our faithful supporters called and asked if there was anything she could get for us on her foray to the Thrift Store. She brought back a lovely XXXL coat that got our new friend through the winter.
