Mobile Food Truck
UCOM recognizes the importance of providing fresh foods to our Clients. As one of the first .JPG)
agencies to embrace the Feeding America mobile truck concept UCOM has provided 5000 additional pounds of food a month to our clients for over 12 years. At 60,000 lbs of food a year that's over 720,000 lbs of fresh produce, dairy products and baked goods that UCOM has helped bring to the community.
Neither torrential rainstorms, winter blizzards, nor blasting summer heat stop our dedicated volunteers from coming together on the first Saturday of each month to serve their neighbors in need. By 7:00 in the morning you can often see a line of over 100 families winding through the UCOM parking lot. For many of these families the monthly mobile food truck is their only exposure to the pantry network.
