Shopping at the Healthy Choice Food Pantry

  • Appointments are required for in-person shopping
  • 4 shoppers are allowed per 30 minute appointment block
  • Please limit shoppers to one or two people per family 
  • UCOM has masks available if you would like one
  • Shoppers should arrive for their appointments at least 5 minutes beforehand
  • If you are more than 10 minutes late you will have to reschedule
  • Appointments may be made beginning Monday at 9:00 a.m. each week
  • If you can't make it to your appointment please call and cancel ahead of time. If you miss your scheduled appointment without calling to cancel it will count as one of your two services for the month.

If you are in need of food and live within the UCOM service area please call  616-241-4006. If you do not live in the UCOM service area or do not know where your local pantry is located, please call the United Way's 211 Hotline.

Who Can Visit the Pantry?

UCOM is one of 11 Key Resource Centers for Kent County. Anyone living within the UCOM service area is eligible to receive food at our Healthy Choice Food Pantry.

The UCOM service area includes the Roosevelt Park and Black Hills Neighborhoods of Southwest Grand Rapids, the city of Wyoming west of US 131, and the city of Grandville.
